Denomination: Gutturnio D.O.C.

Typology: semi-sparkling red wine

Vines: Barbera and Croatina

Production area: Bacedasco Basso

Climate: sunny with mild temperatures in both summer and winter

Soil: clay and limestone

Altitude: 250 metres above sea level

Production yield: 80 q.li/Ha

Wine-making techniques: traditional maceration on the skins and following taking of the spume in autoclave for long periods

Colour: ruby red

Fragrance: strong, fruity with fresh red fruit, very nice

Taste: sparkling, with a well balanced body and a pleasant after-taste

Alcoholic content: 12,5% Vol.

Interesting fact: a wine of long tradition, it comes from the grape blending of barbera and croatina (locally called bonarda)

Menu combinations: it matches perfectly with risottos, roast meat and red meat

Serving temperature: 12°/14° C
